SANTALAND DIARIES

DAVID SEDARIS' SANTALAND DIARIES COMING BACK TO COMEDY SPORTZ IN NOVEMBER

My Verona is bringing their annual holiday smash Santaland Diaries back to the Quad Cities in November.

Starring My Verona favorite Adam Lewis (The Pillowman, Bill Hick's It's Just a Ride) and directed by Circa '21 legend Michael Oberfield, the comedy tells the story of an aspiring soap opera star forced to take work as an elf at Macy's department store. SantaLand follows the new elf, ``Crumpet,'' as he recounts his journey through retail and holiday hell. Adapted by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello, the show is based on the award-winning short story by best-selling author and NPR contributor David Sedaris.

SantaLand will run November 16-November 27. Shows are at 10:00 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 7:30 p.m. Sundays. Tickets ($12) are available at the door or in advance at Circa '21 box office, 1828 3rd Ave., Rock Island or by phone at (309) 786-7733, ext. 2.
